The Times’ Janice Turner came along to a Death Cafe I hosted at the International Longevity Centre’s #FutureOfAgeing conference this week.
Inspired by her own experiences with her father, we talked about how most nursing homes insist on people who have died being ‘removed’ as soon as possible, and what a healthier approach to death might look like, underpinned by Jon’s belief that society needs to embrace death as part of life.
I’ve really missed Jon recently. His integrity and commitment to do the right thing simply because it was the right thing to do have been so needed, especially in light of recent events in the funeral profession.
The takeaway: let's stop talking about the weather and talk about something that matters.
