We can help you choose music, arrange photographs and films for the ceremony, and organise livestreaming, whether the funeral is at a crematorium or somewhere else entirely.

Music
The songs that matter
Music can say something about a person that words cannot. It might be a song everyone knows, a favourite piece of classical music, a hymn, or something unexpected.
Choose the music you’d like to be played during the service, and let your funeral director or celebrant know. We recommend choosing at least three tracks (entrance, reflection/committal, and exit) but you can have as much (or as little) music as you’d like, providing it fits into the allocated service time.
At crematoria using Obitus, we can arrange the tracks through their music library. If a particular version is important to you, let us know. Obitus can search for music that isn't already listed, and can also arrange to play personal recordings.

Photographs & film
Visual tributes
Photographs can bring all sorts of moments back into the room. A single picture may be enough, or you might like a selection of images, perhaps set to music.
At crematoria with Obitus, there are several ways to share them.
Music Tribute
Up to 25 photographs arranged and timed to a piece of music you choose.
Basic Slideshow
Up to 25 photographs, gently fading from one to the next. It can play once or loop during the service. Music is not included in the slideshow itself.
Your Own Video
Already made a film, video message or photo montage? Obitus can check and prepare it to play during the service for an additional charge.
The cost of each tribute is set by the crematorium or venue. We'll confirm the options and price for your arrangements. Additional photographs or video content may cost extra.
Crematorium livestreams
Watching the funeral online with Obitus
When someone cannot attend in person, they can still watch the funeral as it happens. Many crematoria use Obitus to provide a livestream, with a secure link you can share with people who cannot be there.
Obitus's Live & On Demand service lets people watch live and return to the recording afterwards. The on-demand recording is normally ready within two to three working days and stays available online for 28 days.
We'll check the livestreaming options at your chosen crematorium and confirm the cost for your arrangements.

Alternative venues
Professional livestreaming by Funeral Streaming
For funerals at alternative venues, churches, gardens and natural burial grounds, we can arrange professional livestreaming even where there is no built-in system.
Funeral Streaming sends a camera operator with professional video and sound equipment. They have their own streaming setup and internet connectivity, so the service doesn't have to depend on a venue's installed system. People who cannot be there can follow the ceremony through a private link.
The recording is included, with a downloadable copy to keep. They can also film the main service and a separate committal, where needed.

We can coordinate music, tributes and streaming with the venue, so everything is ready on the day.
Can we include a personal recording?
Yes. At venues using Obitus, personally recorded songs, readings and spoken words can be played during the service. Someone who cannot attend in person can also record a video message or eulogy. Obitus can prepare the video to play during the ceremony for an additional charge. Please send us the file in advance so we can check the requirements.
How do we send photographs for a tribute?
Once a tribute has been booked, you can upload images through Obitus's secure system. We can explain how to do this and when the images are needed.
Can we livestream a funeral at an alternative venue?
We can discuss independent, professional livestreaming, subject to the venue and provider's availability. This can be arranged for indoor and outdoor locations.
Can people watch the funeral later?
Obitus normally makes the edited livestream available online for 28 days. Funeral Streaming includes a recording and downloadable copy with its professional livestreaming service. We will confirm the arrangements for your particular venue.
