Orders of Service & Funeral Stationery

An order of service sets out the words, music and readings at a funeral. It can also include photographs, artwork and other details of the person who has died.

We work with designer Suzie White to create orders of service that are thoughtfully put together and professionally printed, whether you have a clear idea in mind or need help getting started.

Our recommended designer

Meet Suzie White

Suzie specialises in funeral orders of service and memorial stationery. Her work includes simple, understated designs, photo-led booklets and completely bespoke commissions.

We recommend Suzie because of her careful approach to design. She can work with existing photographs and artwork, or develop an idea around a particular interest, place or aspect of someone's life.

You can choose and adapt one of her designs or commission something made specifically for the funeral.

Designing an order of service

Making it personal

There is no standard design to follow. A favourite photograph might be enough, or you may want to include artwork, handwriting, maps, music references or other details connected to the person being remembered.

Simple and understated

Clear typography, a photograph and the running order of the ceremony.

Photographs and memories

A booklet with images from different points in someone's life, alongside the ceremony details.

Designed from scratch

A bespoke approach using personal artwork, colours, handwritten material or other ideas.

What goes inside

What can you include?

Most orders of service contain the sequence of the ceremony, but you can decide how much other material to include.

On the cover

The person's name, a photograph or illustration, and the date and place of the funeral.

The ceremony

Music, readings, poems, hymns, prayers and the order in which they will happen.

Photographs and other details

Images, words, artwork or handwriting you would like to share.

At the end

A note of thanks, donation information or details of a gathering afterwards, if you wish.

Design and printing

How it works

We can help establish the running order and wording for the ceremony. Suzie then handles the layout, proofs and printing.

01

Choose a direction

Start with a design from Suzie's collection or discuss a bespoke approach.

02

Gather the material

Send the names, wording, photographs and any artwork you would like included.

03

Check the proof

Review the layout and wording carefully before approving the final version.

04

Printing and delivery

Suzie arranges printing and delivery once the design has been signed off.

For the best print quality, send the original photograph files where possible. We'll agree proofing and printing deadlines for the individual funeral.

Other printed stationery

Cards, bookmarks and memorial books

Suzie also creates printed pieces that can be shared at the funeral or afterwards. They can use the same design as the order of service or be made separately.

Practical information

A few things to know

Printed orders of service are entirely optional. You can make your own, use another designer or decide not to have them.

Prices depend on the number of pages and copies, paper and printing specifications, and how much design work is needed. More involved bespoke designs may cost extra. We'll explain the quote before you decide.

When do we need to start?

It helps to collect photographs and decide on the content early. We'll confirm the proofing and printing deadlines once the funeral date and specifications are known.

Can we make our own?

Yes. You're welcome to design and print your own order of service or ask someone else to do it. We can help you check the order of the ceremony.

How many copies should we order?

That depends on how many people will attend and whether you would like additional copies to keep or send afterwards. We can talk it through with you.

Can we also have an online page?

Yes. We can arrange a separate online funeral page with the ceremony details, RSVPs, photographs and messages. Explore Funeral & Remembrance Pages
