Poetic Endings · Grief Support

Support doesn't end with the funeral

A funeral is one part of what happens after someone dies. Grief continues into ordinary days, important dates and moments you might not have expected.

We've brought together charities, specialist services, peer groups and practical resources that may be useful after a death. Whether you've lost a partner, a child, a parent, a sibling, a friend or someone else close to you, you can look for support that relates to your experience.

After the funeral

Finding the right kind of help

There is no fixed timetable for grief. For some people, having someone to talk to is helpful. Others want to meet people who have been through something similar, find specialist support after a particular kind of death, or get help with practical responsibilities.

You don't have to be newly bereaved to use this directory. A death from years ago can still affect you, and you can return to these resources whenever you need them.

The organisations listed here are independent of Poetic Endings. We aren't a counselling service, and we can't assess which support is right for you, but we hope this makes finding a place to start a little easier.
