Louise Winter - Funeral Director & Founder
Louise is a progressive funeral director and the founder of Poetic Endings. Before training as a funeral director and launching Poetic Endings, Louise was the editor of the Good Funeral Guide and an experienced funeral celebrant. She's also the director of Life. Death. Whatever. - an award winning festival and community that exists to change the dialogue around death and dying. Louise’s book will be published in 2020 by Green Tree (Bloomsbury). In 2017, Louise won a Death Oscar at the Good Funeral Awards.

Clare Harriott - Funeral Director
Clare’s interest in bespoke funerals began when she helped to arrange her father’s funeral in 2012. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience - in contrast to her mother’s funeral 25 years earlier when her family were given no say in the arrangements.
Clare is sensitive to the needs of others and will always try to get things done with kindness and compassion. She volunteers at Royal Trinity Hospice and particularly enjoys meeting the families of those in their care. She knows how daunting that time can be.

Joanna Shears – Funeral Director
Joanna joined the Poetic Endings team after she assisted at the funeral of a close friend’s stepfather, led by Louise. She found it to be a gentle and sensitive, yet profoundly empowering experience - and Joanna is committed to providing this same level of service for other bereaved people. She also sings with the Heart of London Threshold Choir and is an artist working with sound and installation.

Annika Caswell - Specialist Bodycare Artist
Annika is a Poetic Endings’ own bodycare artist, sensitively preparing and dressing everyone in our care. She has a long history of craftsmanship within the bespoke tailoring and couture industry. She moved her skills to the funeral industry after the profound experience of seeing her father sensitively prepared in his coffin.
Annika is an occasional actress, keen gardener and devoted mother of two Maine Coon cats.

Anna Lyons - Support, Guidance & Care
Anna is an end of life practitioner, helping those who are affected by dying, death, bereavement and grief. Her experiences have shown her that people want and need to talk about dying, but they just don't know how. She's also a teacher and fine arts lecturer.
You might see Anna - supporting people who are facing the end of life and their family and friends in whatever way they need, creating advanced directives and end-of-life plans, helping families and friends to spend time with people who have died in her gentle and sensitive way, supporting the Poetic Endings team and the clients who work with us with their grief.
