Louise Winter - Funeral Director & Founder
Louise is a progressive funeral director and the founder of Poetic Endings. Before training as a funeral director by working with a traditional funeral service, Louise was the editor of the Good Funeral Guide and an experienced funeral celebrant. She's also the director of Life. Death. Whatever. - an award winning festival and community that exists to change the dialogue around death and dying. In 2017, Louise won a Death Oscar at the Good Funeral Awards.

Tilly Munro - Funeral Director
Tilly arranges beautiful and sensitive funerals around London as well as curating the Poetic Endings' library. She was born in Paris but grew up in London and Oxfordshire and now lives in Tower Hamlets, east London. After being a primary school teacher for five years in Newham, she trained to be a volunteer bereavement counsellor with the charity Cruse. She is married to Iain and has two children, Penny and Joseph.

Joanna Shears – Funeral Assistant
Joanna joined the Poetic Endings team after she assisted at the funeral of a close friend’s stepfather, led by Louise. She found it to be a gentle and sensitive, yet profoundly empowering experience - and Joanna is committed to providing this same level of service for other bereaved people. She also sings with the Heart of London Threshold Choir and is an artist working with sound and installation.
You might see Jo - taking care of people who have died, carrying the coffin, ensuring all aspects of the funeral run smoothly.
Clare Harriott - Funeral Assistant
Clare’s interest in bespoke funerals began when she arranged her father’s funeral in 2012. She found the experience to be positive and the whole family felt uplifted by the personal ceremony they created for him.
Clare is sensitive to the needs of others and will always try to get things done with kindness and compassion. She volunteers at Royal Trinity Hospice and particularly enjoys meeting the families of those in their care. She knows first hand how daunting that time can be.
She likes to think she can sing but her kids aren’t so sure.

Annika Caswell - Specialist Bodycare Artist
Annika is a non-invasive bodycare artist with a long history of craftsmanship within the bespoke tailoring and couture industry. She moved her skills to the funeral industry after the profound experience of seeing her father sensitively prepared in his coffin.
Annika is an occasional actress, keen gardener and devoted mother of two Maine Coon cats.
You might see Annika - taking care of the people who have died in her sensitive and gentle way, supporting families in washing and dressing the person who has died.
Emma Curtis - Head of Ceremony
Emma specialises in highly bespoke ceremonies and bereavement support. She provides ceremonial support and advice to the Poetic Endings team and oversees our team of celebrants, ensuring the highest of standards.
Emma is also a grief counsellor and was the runner up for Minister of the Year in the Good Funeral Awards 2017 - the first secular minister to be recognised in this category.
She is also a professional opera singer.
Anna Lyons - Support at the End-of-Life
Anna is an end of life doula, helping those who are living with dying. Her experiences have shown her that people want and need to talk about dying, but they just don't know how. She's also a teacher and fine arts lecturer.
You might see Anna - supporting people who are facing the end of life and their family and friends in whatever way they need, creating advanced directives and end-of-life plans.
Out-of-Hours & Support Team
Lee, Andrew, John, Steven, Emma, Dean, Noel, Matthew and Khaleel are managed by Martin and support the Poetic Endings team in all aspects of ensuring our funerals run smoothly. Between them they have years of funeral experience as well as a sensitive, respectful and highly professional attitude.
You might see Martin and his team - driving the hearse, being on-call, collecting and taking care of people who have died, carrying the coffin.
