Our wonderful wife and mum Pat died peacefully at home on Sunday 21st December 2025, after a special final day together as a family, with winter sunshine streaming through the windows. We weren’t ready to lose her and already miss her so much.

Pat’s funeral service will take place at Oaks Farm in Shirley on Monday 19th January 2026 at 12:00 noon. Close to home in Shirley, this is a venue that we’ve walked past together hundreds of times over the years on family walks across the golf course. After the funeral, we’ll stay at Oaks Farm to share our memories and stories over food and drink.

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with messages of love, support and happy memories over the past few weeks, it’s meant so much to us all.

Directions & Parking
Oaks Farm is based in Shirley, less than two miles from Croydon town centre.

Car parking is available and there is also an extensive taxi rank outside East Croydon rail station.

NOTE - Although the postal address of Oaks Farm is in Oaks Lane, which is off Upper Shirley Road, you cannot access the venue that way. You should access Oaks Farm via Oaks Road using the postcode CR0 5HL. The Oaks Road entrance to Oaks Farm is signposted and is immediately adjacent to house number 54.

Travelling by bus or tram is also an option, although this requires a bit of a muddy walk - please feel free to get in touch with Helen or Andy if you need any advice on that.

Donations
You can honour Pat’s memory by donating to a local hospice and end of life care charity that was close to her heart and has been a big support to us as a family during her final months, St Christopher’s.
