Leigh’s soul transitioned peacefully at home on Monday 12th May 2025 with Sonya and Britt by her side after a surreal but extraordinary 8 months of tender and intimate care, brimming with profound moments of healing, laughter, tears and silver linings.
We miss her tremendously, but we know she has not left us by any means.
Please know we have been so comforted by the outpouring of messages, check ins, love and support over the last few weeks and months. It has meant so much.
Leigh’s funeral will take place at Pembroke Lodge on Tuesday 27th May 2025 at 11:00 AM. The service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person (details below).

Our wish for the ceremony is for it to be both a joyful & heartfelt gathering. We intend for it to be more a celebration of life than a traditional funeral. Mum, as you know, has never been conventional and we wish to expand our grief into and through layers of positivity, ritual and healing like we know she would. She was able to express to us that she wanted us to be remembered through laughter and play.
A few things we wish for you all:
Dress code and what to bring (both in-person and online)
Please wear something that is in some way colourful, expressive, and fun. Mum adored vibrant patterns, textures and intense colour. So, we would like you all to mirror this back to her as a fun, reciprocal expression! We also plan to play some drums together to send mum off. If you have some form of percussion such as a rattle, a drum, a maraca (or a tinpan and a stick), please bring it with you to play along :)
Ceremony contributions (both in-person and online)
We will be sharing our own thoughts and experience of mum during the ceremony and invite you to contribute two short notes, and any songs or photos, in this form (click here):
Contributing Notes
- What Leigh gave to you or what her 'legacy' is for you — we'll read a summary and selection of these aloud during the ceremony.
- A message you'd like to send with her — these notes will be placed in her coffin and seen only by Sonya and me.
Contributing Music and Photos
If you have any beautiful photos of Leigh (ideally high-resolution) or significant songs she loved, please upload them or send them. We’ll create a slideshow and playlist to share on the day (and will share with you too).
Please submit all the above by Friday 23rd to this form.
Flowers
If you’d like to contribute flowers, you can donate to the chosen arrangements and the flowers will either be weaved into Leigh’s coffin, part of the ceremony and/or placed around at the funeral. Feel free to send donations to flowers the following paypal account: brittneytitus@outlook.it
