Our beloved Becky died peacefully on Saturday 7th June 2025. She will be forever missed but remains a constant presence in our hearts.
Becky's memorial service will take place at the Forest Hill Quaker Meeting House (34 Sunderland Road, SE23 2QA) on Tuesday 8th July 2025 at 11:00 AM followed by a private burial at a natural burial ground the next day. The memorial service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend (details below).
You’ll find some helpful information about what to expect at a Quaker memorial service and how you can participate if you'd like to. There will be a seated capacity of 80 in the hall so if you will need a seat, please let us know in advance on the RSVP form below. Because space is limited, we kindly ask that only those who had a close personal connection with Becky come to the memorial. Partners and children are very welcome at the evening party instead, where there's more room.
After the memorial service, we'll stay at The Quaker Meeting House to share our memories of Becky over food and drink. If you are able, please bring a plate of food to share with everyone. Please avoid anything with nuts - thank you in advance.
Party
Later on that day, you are invited to join us at The Ivy House pub in Nunhead (40 Stuart Road, SE15 3BE) from 4:30 PM for a party to celebrate Becky's life, enjoying the music, food and drinks she loved. This is an open event - feel free to bring others who'd like to join.
Becky often performed at The Ivy House, and we'll hold an "open mic" session from 5:00 PM. Anyone is welcome to take part - musicians, poets, storytellers, kids, adults - all are invited. If you'd like to perform, let us know in the RSVP form below or on the day. After the open mic, there will be dancing until close.
Dress Code
In Becky's memory, we would love everyone to wear something bright, bold, or joyfully 'you'. This can be an accessory, colourful flourish or even whole outfit - however you feel comfortable.
