CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF

ALEXANDRA GRACE BRITTON

21st August 1996 – 2nd March 2026

Barbara and Nick’s beautiful daughter and Charlie’s sister, Alex, sadly died at St Christopher's Hospice on Monday 2nd March 2026.

All of us, both family and friends, will miss our bright, loving star so much.

Alex’s funeral will take place in the Cressingham Suite at Brockwell Hall,
Brockwell Park, Herne Hill, Lambeth, SE24 9BJ on
Monday 30th March 2026 at 1:00 PM until 2.30 PM.

Celebration of Life
At the end of the funeral, we will be invited to leave the Suite with Alex.
The Suite will then be laid out in a less formal setting ready for the Celebration of Alex’s life.

Everyone is welcome to share memories of Alex over a relaxed and informal afternoon tea. This Celebration will conclude at around 5:00 PM.

Please provide any favourite photos of Alex, and music (with a Spotify reference) that you feel Alex would like to hear, directly to Barbara and Nick via email (banthebrittons@aol.com) or their WhatsApp accounts. We will then aim to include many of these at the Celebration event.

Directions & Parking
Please arrive at the Cressingham Suite via gates to the side of Brockwell Hall by 12:50 PM for a prompt 1:00 PM start. If you arrive early, please take some time to admire the views from the beautiful park, or have a light lunch or coffee in the cafe.

Parking around Brockwell Park is extremely limited so please use public transport if at all possible. The nearest train station is Herne Hill with the entrance to the Park almost opposite the station. If you need to travel by car, please visit Parkopedia for parking suggestions.

To access Brockwell Hall, you will need to enter Brockwell Park via the Herne Hill entrance and make your way up the path; the walk will take about five minutes.

A golf buggy can be made available for those less able to walk up the hill. If you need to use this service, please register your interest using the form below so numbers can be managed. Note there are only two blue badge parking spaces provided outside the Hall.

Dress Code
Alex wanted her friends and family to dress for comfort in whatever they wished and to please wear bright, happy colours.

Thanks
Please accept our most sincere thanks for your kind words. We have been so comforted by the outpouring of love and support over the last week in your cards, emails and texts, as well as your lovely flowers and personal visits.

Donations
Alex stayed positive throughout her almost six-year battle with sarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer. There is limited research in this area because sarcomas are rare. But they are equally devastating both to those who suffer from the disease as well as to their family and friends. Alex wanted friends and family to honour her memory by donating to Sarcoma UK, a charity that was close to her heart.

Flowers
Although sending flowers is a lovely gesture, we’d prefer donations in Alex’s memory to Sarcoma UK. But if you still wish to buy flowers, Alex suggested that you buy them for yourselves to enjoy with her love.

Livestream

Please note that no livestream is currently being planned. If you would like to have access to a livestream, please register your interest in the RSVP form below. If there is sufficient interest, a livestream may be arranged.

Sharing this Announcement
Please share this announcement with friends and family who knew Alex and might wish to attend the Funeral and Celebration of Alex’s life, as Barbara and Nick may not have their contact details or know them directly.
All recipients are requested to complete the form below.

RSVP
Please RSVP using the form below so Alex’s family know if you’ll be attending the funeral and the reception afterwards, or if you are only able to watch the funeral via a livestream (to be confirmed). Children are welcome.

An early reply is requested as seated numbers are limited to 150 although there is further space for standing room in the Hall and outside (no cover) in the Courtyard. Overall numbers may then determine whether a livestream is provided.

Your data will be used solely for the purpose of helping Alex’s family to keep track of attendees and plan accordingly. It will not be used for the purpose of marketing or any related activities. You can read our privacy policy here.
