Christopher took his final breath at Kings College Hospital on Friday 19th June 2026, where he was beautifully cared for by the medics and palliative team. He scored Genius on the New York Times Spelling Bee two days earlier.

Christopher’s funeral will take place at St Stephen's Chapel, West Norwood Cemetery, SE27 9JU, on Thursday 30th July 2026 at 1:00 PM. The service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend (details below).

Wake
After the funeral, we’ll gather in the library and grounds of Dulwich Mead, 48-50 Half Moon Lane, SE24 9HS, to share our memories of Christopher over food and drink.

Here are some helpful tips on travelling to West Norwood Cemetery. Once inside the cemetery grounds, please refer to the cemetery map to find St Stephen’s Chapel, which is in the Hellenic Enclosure. Christopher’s funeral service is not taking place at the crematorium chapel.
