ROSALIE KUYVENHOVEN

ROSALIE KUYVENHOVEN

Funeral Celebrant

“Hello, I’m Rosalie (she/her).

I am an award-winning celebrant, ritual designer, celebrant trainer and speaker at international conferences.

At the heart of it all, I see my role as helping you navigate one of life’s most difficult transitions by creating a ceremony that feels authentic, soulful, and deeply personal.

I believe that a funeral can be a beautiful, transformative, and empowering event. A funeral ceremony is a space, crafted with attention and intention, where we can grieve and honour a life, while finding a sense of belonging and a compassionate way to move forward.

Every life is unique and every ceremony should be too. My process is entirely guided by what is meaningful to you. Whether you are looking for a service with traditional elements or something completely reimagined, I am here to bring your ideas to life.

I have a particular passion for creative ritual design. I’ve had the privilege of conducting ceremonies in alternative venues and unusual places, including a theatre, a film set, a cinema, a converted barn, local parks, art galleries and private gardens. Some of the most memorable funerals I have helped create included an art installation, collective music-making and movement-based rituals.

Since I can remember, I have been interested in how people navigate ‘big questions’ in life. This initially led me to studying theology and philosophy after which I was trained as a minister and chaplain. My career took a turn when I found work in the corporate sector as a change management consultant, helping organisations through complex transitions. In 2015, I trained as a celebrant, and it immediately felt like coming home. This role is the perfect culmination of my journey. It allows me to weave together my lifelong fascination with ritual and transition, my experience navigating complex emotional landscapes, and my passion for crafting deeply personal, unique events.

I was born in the Netherlands, and my international roots are a core part of who I am. I regularly conduct bilingual ceremonies and am fluent in Dutch. I also conduct bilingual ceremonies in German and French, allowing me to support people who wish to bridge different cultures and languages during their time of grief and remembrance.

I live in London with my husband and our two teenage children. My eldest child is trans, and their journey has been a profound gift to me. It reinforces the importance of approaching every individual with an open mind and never making assumptions. In my free time I love browsing for vintage gems in local charity shops, taking walks in my local woods, exploring art and music, or simply being lazy on the sofa with a tub of salted caramel ice-cream, watching series with my youngest.”

Lucinda Inglis - Funeral Celebrant

LUCINDA INGLIS

Funeral Celebrant

“I’m a celebrant who brings warmth, care and a genuine love of people to every ceremony I create. I specialise in heartfelt farewells, taking the time to really listen and gently shape a ceremony that feels true, personal and meaningful — one that honours both the life lived and the love that remains.

After more than 21 years as a nurse — including over 15 specialising in palliative and end-of-life care — I’ve had a front row seat witnessing some of the most profound and beautiful expressions of love. Not only while caring for people at the end of their lives, but also during my days on the wards. I’ve seen the quiet joy of recovery, after a serious or frightening illness, when complacency falls away and is replaced by a new-found gratitude for life.

These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the stories that shape who we are. Every story matters, every relationship is unique and every milestone deserves to be honoured with authenticity and heart.

I truly believe every single person is extraordinary — not only because of what they achieved, but because of the small, beautiful, everyday things that made them who they were. The little routines, sayings, habits, passions, kindnesses and quirks that live on in the people who loved them.

My funerals and memorial ceremonies are celebratory in nature — not dismissing the grief, but honouring a life in a way that feels sincere, comforting, and deeply human.

Whether your loved one was bold, quiet, funny, complex, traditional, or wonderfully unconventional, I’ll honour the life lived, the love shared, and the perfectly imperfect details that made your precious person who they were. Tears are normal, inevitable even… but so is laughter, and both belong in a beautifully told farewell.

I am humanist-trained, but what matters most to me is you. I am always happy to weave in elements of faith, spirituality or personal tradition if you would like them included. Your ceremony should reflect your beliefs, your values and your unique journey.

Because who I am shapes the ceremonies I create, here’s a little peek into my world.

I’m married, with three incredibly gorgeous but really rather wild and noisy boys. I love cocktails, theatre, walking outdoors and anything that feels like a good excuse to laugh.

I’m a hopeless gardener – honestly, plants fear me — but I remain determined to overcome this.”

“Lucinda is one of life’s very special people and I can see exactly why she is so incredible at being a celebrant.

It’s simple, she cares.

She REALLY cares and manages to unleash stories held tightly inside a grieving family, letting them fizz out from our mouths into words she then breaks down into magic, sprinkled with humanity, trust, love, and some giggles.

She came to our house to talk through Justin’s life and we didn’t want her to leave as she felt like she was one of us thus her charm and ability to make anyone feel at ease.

She delivered the most incredible service, we laughed and we cried. Lucinda took us through Jusin’s very full and fun life and if you didn’t know Justin you would have by the time she finished. She got him, she got us and to be honest we are missing her, she lights up the room and we needed such light in our darkest time.”

robyn harris

Funeral Celebrant

“I believe that funerals don’t have to be somber occasions. The best way to honour your loved one is to give them a sendoff that reflects them and their life. Using elements of their life and your love for them, I use music (recorded or live), poetry and personal messages to create memorable celebrations of life. Every celebration of life should be unique, because each life is unique. A service that anyone who attends would recognize as the dearly departed and be comforted by.

The first funeral I led was my husband’s. Just as I made sure the service was perfect for my husband Neil, I endeavor to do that for every funeral, burial and memorial service I lead.

I’m originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I moved to the UK nearly 13 years ago and currently live in Surrey. I have a wide professional background which includes teaching, finance and media. I’m a very spiritual person, I’m Jewish and I’m a service leader in my community I can incorporate religion into my services if it is requested. I have held services in several religions, and I’m comfortable creating a service for any religion or none at all. I look forward to working with you to give your loved one a funeral or memorial service they would be proud of. Please get in touch so we can plan the perfect service for your loved one.”

“We couldn’t have hoped for a warmer, kindhearted and caring person to be part of the celebration of life for our darling cousin”

MIKE FAUN

Funeral Celebrant/ Minister

“Hello, I’m Mike Faun, an independent celebrant and the person behind Life Tributes London. I’m based in Clapham and proudly serve South East and South West London, and other areas on request.

I specialise in funerals and also weddings and vow renewals on request, creating ceremonies that are personal, meaningful and reflective of the people at their heart.

My style as a celebrant is warm, relaxed, friendly and inclusive. Every ceremony is created anew and delivered with care and professionalism.

I also believe ceremonies can reflect personality as well as meaning. If it suits the occasion, and at a client’s request, I’m very happy to bring a little extra colour on the day, by wearing different coloured suits or shoelaces.

My time working within a church setting as a Minister for 16 years and a Hospice Chaplain, has provided valuable experience in supporting individuals and families during significant life moments. This has deepened my understanding of ceremony, reflection, and the importance of creating space for meaning, remembrance, and connection, while remaining inclusive and respectful of all beliefs and backgrounds.”

BETH HILL

Funeral Celebrant

“My mum still talks about Stella, the funeral celebrant who guided her after she experienced a devastating loss. She talks about the positive and lasting impact she had. She recalls that she felt helpless and consumed with grief. She literally couldn’t put one foot in front of the other. Stella sat my mum down and said, ‘Just breathe. Take it one day at a time and then maybe, just maybe, one day when you look down those feet might be dancing.’

Planning a ceremony after a bereavement can be daunting and overwhelming. The loss of a loved one is undoubtedly one of the hardest moments in life. As your celebrant, my role is to guide and support you. To help create and deliver a personal centred ceremony that reflects the funeral wishes. As progressive or as traditional as you would like.

There is no right or wrong, just choice – yours. Whether that is a poignant service, with a place for you to sit in silence and reflect, or an uplifting celebration of life accompanied by back-to-back tracks from Abba Arrival – it will be an authentic ceremony that honours your loved one.

Like Stella, a great celebrant is one who really listens. One who is empathetic and open. With me, the added bonus is I’m northern (with a neutral accent), so whilst I’m being all of those celebranty things, I can also show you how to warm the teapot before you brew the tea. Essential…”

About Me

I’m Beth, an accomplished civil celebrant with a natural talent for writing and speaking. I was originally a classical ballet dancer. I travelled the world dancing before training as an actress – a profession I’ve enjoyed for many years, working in Film/TV and Theatre from West End to Broadway. A mum, a writer, a Samaritan, and the youngest of five, I’ve had a wealth of life experience, and a lifetime of adventures.

It would be my privilege to help tell your loved ones story – everyone’s life deserves to be honoured and everyone’s story shared. And as for Stella’s lasting impact – well, my mum never quite reached the dizzy heights of Strictly Come Dancing, but she did learn how to put one foot in front of the other, and how to dance again (albeit badly as she has zero rhythm and two left feet!)
