Supporting Funeral Celebrants - Better Working Relationships with Funeral Directors

Working as a funeral celebrant can be difficult, lonely and emotionally draining work. We want you to feel fully supported in the important work you do, so we'll be hosting a monthly catch-up session on Zoom.

In April’s session, we’ll be discussing ways that the working relationship between funeral directors and celebrants can be improved. How can new celebrants show their skillset to funeral directors? How can we stop funeral directors from deciding a celebrant’s worth? How can celebrants encourage clients to approach them directly? How can we better educate the public on the value of a good ceremony?

This is an opportunity to meet the Poetic team of funeral directors, ask any questions you have about our contemporary approach to funerals, meet other celebrant colleagues, share ideas and insights and talk through anything that's on your mind. We hope it will be an open, warm and friendly online space for us to come together and support each other.

This session is suitable for:

  • celebrants who work with Poetic Endings regularly

  • new celebrants who would like to meet the Poetic team

  • celebrants from around the UK and the rest of the world who would like to learn more about a contemporary approach to funeral directing and funeral celebrancy

We hope to be able to hold these sessions in person in London once it's safe to do so, but in the meantime, we hope you'll join us on Zoom.
